Why, what else would you do with it? ;-)

For an electric car alone, you need 20-30 kWp if you want to charge it 70-80% from the roof. A little storage in the basement won’t help with that at all.
So anyone who stops before all the roofs are full will soon be very annoyed. Because you can only consume (and for me also store) what you produce. And especially those who also want to drive or even heat in winter need every, but really every available surface.

I have considered my yield per roof area separately and then occupied the roof areas. SO and SW roofs generate 1005 kWh/kWp on average. These roofs and my garage (SW) I then fully occupied. In total, there are 36 modules and 13.68 kWp. The NO and NW roofs would have yielded less than 700 kWh/kWp, which was too little yield for me.

After all, self-sufficiency is THE argument for a lot of photovoltaics. Yes, a storage system increases the degree of self-sufficiency, but only if there is something that fills the storage even in winter. Otherwise, it just sits there for several months and drains power risking deep discharge.

Well, I don’t have 40K lying around and an electric car with only 30 kWh and that will stay that way.

I ordered 9 kWp at 1400 €/kWp and a 7.7 storage for 530€/kWh (all net)

The garage is going to be completely full anyway and I don’t want to have the thing installed in my bedroom, at least not feeling like that… maybe a woman’s thing (-:

But we’re helping too, then something will still come off at installation in the end

What many do not know: Photovoltaics on the roof protect against harmful space radiation! ;-)

Nah, that’s fine. You can retrofit it too. And at €530 per kW, at least you didn’t get ripped off. Still, I would guess that from October on, you’ll occasionally wish for a few more kWp.

And in any case, I wish you a lot of fun with the system – because even 9 kWp are a lot of fun and sometimes even addictive! :)

Honestly, I don’t find the modules ugly. We have 13.26 kwp and I think there will be more over time, as only two sides of the roof are fully utilized.
