Just a question to those here already better informed. How common is autarky actually standard with photovoltaic systems? So, assuming the general power grid goes down? Can you then at least provide emergency power for your own house with storage and photovoltaics, or do you still have to plan for something else?

It is possible! There are various manufacturers who offer this emergency power operation as an upgrade. For example, it is available from E3/DC. In this case, the battery can even be recharged during the day by the sun.

An inverter that is capable of emergency power operation must be planned from the outset. Most "normal" ones cannot do this. The few that can cost a little more.

Works with suitable hardware. But it is unnecessary for 99.9% and will therefore, in my opinion, remain a marginal phenomenon.

I had it offered to me optionally. An additional disconnect switch would have been necessary for this with otherwise identical hardware. Additional costs approximately €1200 net, so I decided against it at the time. Seriously, how often has the power been out for longer than a maximum of 1 hour in the last 20 years? For me, there were exactly 2 incidents, once 2-3 hours in the middle of the day due to a fire in the substation, I was at work then and would have noticed nothing at home. The second time many years ago when an excavator cut the underground cable in the street. That was about 3 days just before Christmas, during which not enough would have come from the photovoltaic system anyway for an autonomous emergency operation...

I have a question. Currently, there are problems with delivering our desired wr. I need one with 3 strings for the walm roof.

South, west, and north are occupied. The roof has 22 degrees.

Now the electrician suggested taking only one with 2 strings and combining the west and north sides. What do you generally think about this and if yes, what conditions should be considered?

Thanks
