A base cabinet with a waste system is not very useful if it is not located under the preparation area, which is usually between the sink and the cooktop.

If the cook prefers to bend down and does not want the option of an additional steamer, of course her wish should be fulfilled.

Good morning Today I'm going to Ikea again to look at all kinds of things. Especially to see if there are now acceptable interiors for the 37 cm cabinets.

So either I will then swap the 80 cm and the 20 cm cabinets to install a base cabinet with a waste system. We'll see ... I personally don't mind if it stands right next to it, as in the current pictures.

Or the long 37 cm straight cabinet is also a nice chopping area. And I have enough space underneath ... but are there trash cans for that?

I'm curious ..

Have fun! There are brand new two interiors for 37-drawers. Otherwise, there are many different boxes.

You can also put the trash cans in smaller drawers. Only the Utrusta garbage rack thing will not fit, it is made for 45-drawers under sinks.

Hey

So ... we went to Ikea on Saturday and got some more advice and had the whole plan reviewed. Everything's great. We exchanged the lower sink cabinet again because the large 80cm front didn't make sense to me. Now a smaller one and a fixed panel above. That fits ... and took out this UTRUSTA automatic opening hinge. After a week you end up with a blue knee ... it just didn't work at all.

I still have two handles and knobs to choose from ... of course I’m taking the free Ikea dishwasher and if I order directly in the store on site, the delivery comes the next day! Not like online after 10-14 days. And I get a dishwasher that I can then sell directly.

I also looked at the setup for the 37cm cabinets, everything fits.

"Basically" everything is done ... I think.

Now it’s theoretically about the electrical appliances.

Hello,
that you get blue knees at a 60 cm front height and the Utrusta does not open is logical. For more success, you would have to rather kick it with your foot, since the pressure sensor is located at the bottom. When you press with your knee, you only "bend" the front and the pressure sensor does not receive any information.
We have the system (the original from BLUM, since Utrusta is only suitable for floor mounting) in a 40 cm front height directly under the worktop - that has been working flawlessly for 15 months.
