Washing machine and dishwasher in Ikea Metod tall cabinet?

I find Robi's plan with the counter at the end quite nice because it shortens the narrow room. Overall, it is a more traditional kitchen and less design-oriented. Sometimes you have to decide whether design or functionality is more important to you. With the wall cabinets in front of the window, it's less about sufficient light and more about the visual impact on the room.

The installation of the washing machine in the cabinet shown on Küche-muenchen is not possible with Ikea as is. It is a special cabinet that is probably custom-made. You can also see that it is wider than 60 cm by the side overhang of the furniture door on the refrigerator door. With pure kitchen manufacturers, you can get almost anything, but it comes at a price.

The IKEA kitchen planner now works with Chrome on Linux as well, but it is so slow and faulty that it can practically not be used. Perhaps it is similar with OS X?

Yes, I thought you’d use a fridge with one of those small freezer compartments at the top, I’m actually not someone who freezes a lot, just a few herbs and maybe a fish fillet or so.
That’s why I’m still weighing up which model to take if I go with the Smeg variant, a really tall one with the freezer compartment underneath, just so the fridge is at working height, or a 1.50 m tall one, because it’s 500 € cheaper and also looks cool and would be enough space-wise for me... hmmm...

Look, I came up with something for the right side:

I think if you split the cabinet so that there’s a shelf in the middle and you can basically see through it, it would work without making it feel too cramped.

The right side is visually not so problematic anyway, because the wall does not end directly at the window. The problem was that you said it would be too tight. Only you can know if you need a large freezer unit.

Robi's washing machine is not much more expensive than the one from IKEA.

That’s true, of course, the slant makes it not quite as bad. Still, the door opens and you might end up standing right in front of a closet, since the door is all the way on the right side of the wall and not centered. :/

I keep wondering whether I should realize my dream of the black kitchen in this room, because while it definitely looks cool in principle, the question is whether it might be overwhelming in the room.

And one more thing, for example with Robi’s washing machine, I couldn’t figure out 100% from the data sheet how long the hose should be. I’d have to make it about 3 meters long to be able to position it all the way to the far right.
