I also have a few more special shoes that I wear once in a blue moon in the bedroom, but they have all been given their own little shelf to show off, etc. But when I put together my outfits, I take the shoes and myself into the hallway, put them on there, and stand in front of the mirror there; I don’t walk on the carpet around my bed with them. But this lady here also has 30 pairs of shoes XD, including 5 in the bedroom (all big boots), the rest are and remain in the hallway, summer and winter shoes.
I don’t feel like rearranging the shoes three times a year and bringing them to the basement or taking them out of the box, especially because it never really works anyway. I never know what the temperatures will really be like in the near future, and sometimes you need a pair that you have already stored away for the next winter season.
No, that’s too stupid for me.
Besides, you sometimes lose track of your options when everything isn’t gathered together; otherwise, I wouldn’t know what other alternatives I have XD.
I wouldn’t want to receive my guests in the office; it’s probably the messiest room in the whole apartment (okay, we also have the workbench and the rabbits are kept there, plus 2 big desks, coffee machine, and much more). We spend a lot of time there (for now) and I don’t want to tidy up after my husband (at least as long as I still work exactly as many hours as he does).
Yes, a proper cloakroom is a must, but I don’t think there should be a separate room for it. The entrance area is simply where you want to get rid of your warm clothes quickly so you don’t start sweating (at least that’s how it is for me).
Since the stairwell practically goes past the house entrance, I don’t want to see anything disturbing standing around there (that’s the theory).
You can work against that and plan the stairs far enough away from the entrance so that it doesn’t disturb or slightly separate the whole thing from the hallway to the stairs.
