Our children are already a bit older. For this reason, no stroller or Bobby car goes into our wardrobe anymore. I definitely do not want to see any cabinets or hooks for coats, jackets, or shoes on the floor in the entrance area. For this reason, our study is a multifunctional room with exactly the storage space for these things. Since the staircase basically runs past the house entrance, I do not want to see anything obstructive standing around there (at least in theory).

Our study/wardrobe room is certainly large enough to accommodate the most necessary cleaning supplies. We considered splitting this room, but that would have created a 5-square-meter room that we did not want (the neighboring house has that, and I am happy with our solution).

As for the beer, modern basements in houses are now so warm that the beer would not have the necessary temperature there --> kitchen fridge. Bavarians generally prefer the cool Weißbier here anyway... the restock must go to the basement/garage.

With which you would also have revealed the true reason why the garage is outside the thermal envelope

Shoes in the dressing room are a NO-GO, it really shakes me... if I don’t find the open Billy in the entrance area nice, then just buy a proper shoe cabinet with ventilation and that’s that.
A tricycle belongs in the garage, just like bicycles etc. in our garage it has never been below zero.
Well, everyone has to decide for themselves.
If I had the space, I would also put the wardrobe in a separate room – many people nowadays have a dressing room, so why not also a dressing room at the entrance if the space is available.

So I really don't understand why anyone would want to have a stroller right at the front door. That would really bother me. For us, it was always in the car and/or in the basement. Well, that wouldn't be an issue for others, but it never bothered us [emoji16]

No one suggested a 5sqm wardrobe for you, nor a reduction of the hallway so that you wouldn’t know where to go. We also did not suggest clutter, or lots of furniture for storage. We did not suggest disorder for you either, or anything else. Let’s agree that the office is misnamed and functions as a super large storage room with a wardrobe. Somewhere there will be a desk where one can work with a cheerful spirit. There will certainly be enough space for shoes there... Maybe beer crates will be stored there too?! Who knows [emoji2]

So with us, strollers, Bobby cars, and tricycles have always stood/stood in the garage, and I wouldn't know where the drama would be. Especially storing the Bobby car inside, a soulless piece of plastic? What big thing is supposed to happen with it in the garage?!
