That’s the question I’m asking you.

I had written that the drawn-in furnishings do not make any statement about the later actual setup. The children's rooms will, of course, also get appropriate wardrobes.

Yes, you don’t like the coatroom vestibule. OK – and what constructive input can you contribute?
Isn’t it always/mostly the case that you enter a house and then pass by coat closets etc. to get into the living rooms? Or is your front door directly in the living room? We wanted more coat closets precisely because we don’t want the four or five of us to get dressed street-ready one after the other in the coatroom.

Regarding the kitchen: We have a built-in coffee machine – so it definitely doesn’t stand somewhere around.
Otherwise, I have no problem with a “lived-in” kitchen – it’s okay if something is sometimes left on the island. We want to live in the house and not just take photos for glossy brochures. Oh, wait – I forgot – with that terrible floor plan that wouldn’t be an option anyway.

I hope that in your well over 2,000 posts you have produced something constructive and not just sarcasm.

: I didn’t mean he should throw out all the built-in cupboards, but simply find a good harmony. For example, built-in cupboards on one side and on the opposite side dressers with mirrors, windows, etc. That would loosen the whole thing up.

Pssst: we will probably also have a built-in cupboard or at least a 1.50m wide wardrobe in the cloakroom. So I’m not completely opposed to those pieces. But it has to fit ;-)

In the living room, apart from the now created "cabinets" by the fitness room, I don't really have any cabinets. Next to the fireplace, there won't be a cabinet but only open shelves for art objects. And the lowboard behind the sofa is not exactly huge either to store all kinds of things that one might possibly need in the living room.

As for the entrance or the wardrobe, I honestly can't think of much. The problem is that the property has a slight slope, which means that hardly any windows are possible on the "upper" wall. Of course - a strip of windows could be used here. And for that, make the wardrobe cabinet only half height. I think that’s good.

: I bring contributions! Yes! Whether you consider them good or not. I bring comments, advice, and tips!

Have you already shared your experiences or know-how in your short four months of being registered here? You only want to take advantage here – I do not see forum participation in the sense of give and take.

Don’t complain! Be glad that I and others give thought to your draft – I have given constructive criticism, but it is not my job to create a draft for you. I can only keep saying: I would be happy if someone had taken such care of my floor plan. Thankfully, I don’t have to go through an airlock, but combined cabinets in rooms with windows. Without me (and others), this forum would be worthless.

I think, due to my lack of expertise, it is not for me to give tips or advice here. Maybe that will change when we have completed our building project.
I also don't expect you to finish a draft, but for example, the contribution by "Manu1976," who also doesn't like the entrance area but at least makes suggestions for improvements, was constructive.
And now please back to being peaceful and conciliatory - OK?

Back to the topic:
I have now considered that it actually happens very often that one goes "through" or past the wardrobe into other rooms.

Personally, we would prefer a solution with a separate room as well. But I can't come up with a reasonable idea. The architect thinks that the hallway is very wide and that if we possibly add a light strip and reduce the upper cabinet to sideboard height, then it already looks friendlier, right?

PS: May I ask what "FD" stands for?

Precisely because you are in the construction phase, you will be able to provide a lot of acquired or shared knowledge for others. Since you posted your thread for your floor plan discussion, other discussions have also been ongoing... Be it about the building technology, or about the floor plans... If you think you can visually assess your own 2D drafts, then you can also offer support to others. Maybe also with building technology.

Of course, you don't have to—but you shouldn't complain if you get feedback yourself, even if it’s not as you would like it to be.

Then just leaf through your thread pages...

I am not unpeaceful—just direct and honest. I’m not the only one who criticized your airlock. I’m just the one who responds to your and other posts—maybe currently without concrete suggestions, either due to lack of time, no desire for line drawings because my program does not work with my Mac. And I am not an architect who makes good money for designs.

That, as far as I remember, we have conveyed to you here over more than 6 pages. For me, the egg dance around my own axis would be nothing at all. First the shopping to the table, then hang up the coat... maybe again in between, because the weekend shopping took place... You are somewhat self-loving in this design: you may be, still you asked, you get answers; whether you implement them or not is your decision! We from the forum don’t have to live in it.

You can always ask
