We don’t have the SbS because of the ice cubes. It is simply already there and should not be replaced by something with less usable content... we are attached to this SbS!
And we consciously decided on this solution with the row by the window; this row is 265 cm long, the window is exactly that size and 85 cm high... the worktop at this point has a depth of 85 cm, creating a kind of tunnel / cinema / panorama effect. The wall panel plan-side to the left next to the SbS is needed for various light and control switches. We don’t want to have to walk from the dining table to the beginning of the stairs to turn on the kitchen light. Furthermore, the SbS at this point represents a central spot, easily accessible from the living room, dining room, and terrace.
