I have already checked everything and also pointed out issues.. Especially the door and so on. But he says that is not important for the [Bebauungsplan]
We ourselves are a bit confused.

I would also make double casement windows, the [gaube] doesn't really help the house now. And adjust the ceiling heights... downstairs even only 2.30... our doors are even taller than that.

We absolutely do not want double-wing windows in the bedroom area under any circumstances. I don't like the noise you always have when it rains. The ceiling heights are not unusually low for us now. I only have 2.35 and 2.30 here and the ceilings don't seem low to me. But we are both small, maybe that's why.

I had already pointed out all our requested changes (walk-in closet entrance, door to the children's room, generally strange offset in the upstairs hallway, etc.). Also other things that have already been implemented. But the architect only wants to make further changes during the execution meeting because they are not relevant for the building application. In the basement there are only office space, cellar rooms, technical rooms, and guest rooms, so the ceiling height there should really be sufficient. I would anyway like to be able to still pick beetles and spiders off the basement ceilings.

But we are not 100 percent happy with the architect, that is true. I feel like I really have to check everything three times.

... well, I actually think the 11ant-ösen proposal is quite good. Especially since you can also provide some light to the children, the stairwell, and the bathroom right away. From the outside, it probably looks better if the rather large wall area between the attic and the gutter is somewhat broken up.

Why do you actually call him "architect"? - he is clearly the drawing lackey of the general contractor (so the draftsman who works for the rubber-stamp guy). What good is an approved building application afterwards if your (own and borrowed) money is turned into a junk house on your property? General contractor's drawing lackey plus client who only half dares to look a gift horse in the mouth together equals "uiuiui auauau nightmare joke" :-( I just wanted to be nice and additionally to the fact that you could of course simply make a double casement window, also not omit the hint that even a double casement window would be POSSIBLE in a dormer without windows where you otherwise would have one. Although that would undoubtedly look extremely unconventional, it would comply with the development plan. Do you want to build with a building application or with an exemption?

Well, he calls himself an architect, so I thought I’d call him that too.

I like the idea of a higher knee wall and will check on Monday what the extra cost would be. So far, the surcharges for change requests have actually been manageable.

It wasn’t meant badly at all about the DFFs ☺️ I just have an incredible aversion to those things because, in my current apartment, I had to swap the office/guest room with the bedroom because it bothered me so much.
