Number of network sockets; how to plan Wi-Fi in the new building?

Since the house comes from the developer, it will be difficult to arrange this in advance. The only options here are single-socket outlets for €200 each and double-socket outlets for €400 each. And honestly, I find that quite exaggerated... I don't know yet who the electrician will be later. But then I would try to have the cables I provided laid directly through them...

Are ceiling outlets on the ground and upper floors sufficient if the two children's rooms are probably later in the attic?

ask the electrician what it costs from him...

Yes, two APs are enough, probably even one would do, depends on how much steel is in the ceilings. I would put the second one under the roof, that way it also gets better coverage in the garden and it doesn't matter for the upper floor. CAT7 through conduit is more of a theoretical thing, they should definitely lay it directly in, in my opinion you can even skip the conduit because no one will ever pull anything through it again anyway. Don't lay just ONE duplex cable but really two to each double socket. I would also put a double socket in the kitchen, even if it seems odd at first. Feel free to do PoE via the supplied injector, corresponding switches are already significantly more expensive than those without PoE and there are no disadvantages otherwise unless other PoE-capable devices (surveillance cameras, for example) are planned anyway.

Wow, 400 euros for a double LAN socket?! Then I don't want to know what the surcharges for electric roller shutters and such have been/would have been.

Regarding the Ubiquiti Access Point: I installed a nanohd at my parents' house and it just about covers two floors (including a concrete ceiling) over approximately 130 sqm. In some corners, the Wi-Fi is already quite weak though. So I would play it safe and plan for two access points.

A POE injector is included with the Ubiquiti Access Point. Why should you switch to an expensive POE switch in a normal household? I wouldn't do that; I would consider it a waste of money. Especially since Ubiquiti provides everything needed to get started directly even with a simple switch.

But please no APlite. Instead, NanoHD, or even the Pro version from me. For nerds, the regular HD. There are in-wall variants. This way you have LAN ports including WiFi. Wherever you need fast (5GHz) WiFi, a hotspot must be installed. So not in the hallway but, for example, the living room, office... The slow (2.4GHz) WiFi continues to radiate and also penetrates walls better. The more hotspots you have, the more you have to manage the power and channels. Better also an access point in the basement. This way you can administer everything on one system and also set up multiple WLANs at once. Installation on the ceiling, or if necessary on the wall. Small server cabinet in the basement/technical room. Switch also from UniFi. One system to manage...

As I said, we still cannot foresee or coordinate this with the electrician, as it is still unknown. That’s why my idea was to use the empty conduits. Is it really that difficult? I had imagined it so nicely because they even come with a pull wire. Sounded so simple. But yes, as soon as we know the electrician, I will try to talk to him and have it done right away.

Electric shutters “only” 350€... a simple socket 80€. I’m not an electrician, but the pricing structures seem very wild to me.
