Number of network sockets; how to plan Wi-Fi in the new building?

Save the boxes in the corridors for the access points. From the connection room, we have laid a 25mm empty conduit into the ceiling of the corridors in the basement, ground floor, and attic, and pulled a CAT7 cable through it. Now, there are flush-mounted Ubiquiti Unify Access Point Lite units on the ceiling, which run via POE (adapter included!). These are mesh-capable and basically have everything you need and more...

quick off-topic question: I have the same devices and actually want to mount them on the ceiling in the new building as well. However, I have concerns about the light. I see you have it turned on, doesn’t it bother you at night? I know you can turn it off, but then I wouldn’t know if the device is defective or if the configuration is faulty in case of a failure (an access point once disappeared from the management after an update and couldn’t be found until the management software was completely reinstalled).

Even if the light is on, it can be defective and no longer transmit. I would not rely on the LED. For me, it is off.

You do get a notification via the controller if an access point is offline or acting up. You can safely turn off the LED. I would go for the NonoHD today.

Who is the light supposed to bother in the hallway at night? It can also be used as a nightlight. So the LED doesn’t bother us at all.

well, my thought was: with the LED I can at least see whether power and network are present. Without the LED, where do you start looking for the error? As I said, one of mine once worked, but it was no longer in the controller and could not be found in the search either. No error message. But okay, then I'll plan it on the ceiling after all and turn off the LED.
