I don’t know if it counts as advertising, so I’ll leave out the link, but an acquaintance apparently equipped his entire house with roller shutter control from "Homematic" (simple switch replacement + receiver station?) and can now control the rooms (with partially several roller shutters) separately, all rooms together, or individual roller shutters directly at the switch via iPhone / iPad app or at the central station. I haven’t tried it myself yet (we’re still building) and have to see it in person first. But if it can do what it promises, it would certainly be a conceivable alternative for me.

Has anyone here already used or tried something like this?

Regards
Andi

Homematic is basically also a good solution if you want wireless and are willing to deal with it.

Regarding the question of the thread creator, the setup is for example (there are several ways to realize such a circuit)

Distribution box ---3-core---> central switch ----5-core----> roller shutter switch No.1-----> 5-core------> roller shutter switch No.2 ......

You should rather leave the connection to the electrician.

Since I just reread your post, this might still be important for you

The individual switches for blinds 1, 2, 3, x require a NEBENSTELLENEINGANG for such a setup

The whole system is connected so that the central switch can control the motors through the Nebenstelleneingang of the individual switches.

On the 5-core cable, 3 wires are passed through as usual L, N, PE and the other 2 are connected from the central switch OPEN (up) or CLOSE (down) to the Nebenstelleneingang of the individual switch.

If you search for jalousie switches with Nebenstelleneingang from well-known manufacturers, you will also find plenty of pictures showing what this looks like.

Yes, I will definitely have that done.

I prefer to do things I know how to do!!!

I just wanted to clarify in advance whether it is technically possible. Then it should only be a matter of laying more cables for the electrician, right?!

However, I find the Homematic option quite interesting.

Hi,
I am facing exactly the same problem. However, the electrician wants a relatively high surcharge for switches / pushbuttons with auxiliary input and central switch compared to a standard switch per roller shutter.
I have now looked into radio motors and radio control (only for those who have no objections to radio). The radio motor costs a bit extra, you only need a 3-wire cable to the motor. The radio pushbuttons are battery-powered and can therefore be placed anywhere on the wall. Alternatively, there are remote controls or even control via PC, tablet, internet.
In my quotes, the radio options are cheaper and offer more flexibility. With the wired solution, the pushbuttons, of course, perfectly match the rest of the switch program (e.g., Gira, BuschJäger).

For what you are describing, you don’t necessarily need radio motors now, do you? (Do such things even exist?) Normally, as you write, you need a 3-core power cable that goes to a radio switch and from there the roller shutter goes via a 4-core cable (up/down/N/PE) to a completely normal electric roller shutter motor.

The solution mentioned in the thread "Homematic" (FS20,...) just as an example works like this and also works without a central unit if you don’t want to control it with a mobile phone etc. but simply want to use the switches as individual/central switches.

For most of these radio systems, the central plates are such that
a) they have 50x50mm and can be integrated via the adapter frames of the respective switch programs
b) there are directly matching ones for the large switch programs.
