Agree with your planner on that. If white light, then the same color temperature in one room. If you want to change it dynamically via KNX, that's fine. The main thing is that all light sources are adjustable. We currently have 2.7k in the living/dining area. It's cozy and still sufficient as work light in the kitchen. It also depends heavily on the brightness.

I would say, light bulbs can be changed, so it is not a decision but just a choice

Doesn’t that contradict itself?

If I have a light source with 2700, how am I supposed to change it dynamically?

Dynamic change would only be possible with different lights, each capable of displaying different color temperatures, or am I mistaken?

Adjustable = light sources exchangeable?

An expensive choice. I would rather not have to exchange it after a short time because it doesn’t please me. I think we should specify 3000K for him, since that’s what we have now and are satisfied with. I actually wanted to mix and also realize scenes with 2700 or even less in the living area, office, bedroom. But that makes his hair stand on end (even though I didn’t understand why).

I also meant that it's unproblematic to simply choose 3000 K now where you want it and otherwise follow his suggestion of 2700 K. On the one hand, he probably knows what he’s doing – but you are the ones living in it. Lamp sockets are standardized, so you don’t have to commit to one color temperature forever during installation. Therefore, just a choice and not a decision.

That's no longer true - unfortunately. If you use those fancy LED devices where everything is built-in, you can only replace the entire lamp...

... or you throw it at the designer's head until he learns why there are standards: for modularity in the form of detachability of socket and bulb, for example. This must apply to the apple just as it once did to the bulb, otherwise the newfangled stuff is just junk.

Lighting one's house is essential. Such a thing must not fail because of introducing a Babylonian confusion like with cellphone chargers.

Within each respective category bulb / halogen / LED, the system must be flexible, otherwise it is a faulty design.
