These ultra-modern wall lamps, which you can basically bend to your liking, are not really our thing either. My wife already suggests that we just plug a normal, run-of-the-mill lamp into the socket and be done with it.
I feel the same way, which is why just having one socket below each bedside table and then switchable should do. With KNX it shouldn’t be a problem for you either. With a wall switch nearby you have all possibilities, for example:
- normal click: turn the respective lamp on/off
- double click: turn both lamps on/off
- long click: panic mode -> lights on all over the house
I actually tend to prefer wall lamps. But I would only give the electrician the corresponding order if I have a suitable product for it. If anyone has good ideas for a bedside lamp, feel free.
Wall lamps would be too inflexible for me. What height, what distance from the bed, etc.
I have my eye on the Cini&Nils CuboLED at the moment. But I’m not 100% convinced yet. But something reduced, simple in this direction...
