What someone needs or doesn't need is always decided by that person alone!

What one definitely doesn't need, however, are such weak comments like this one and know-it-alls in general who think they know or, better yet, define who needs what and what someone finds valuable...

I really wonder what the intention of such posts is? It's okay if someone doesn't need lighting planning for themselves. But why add one more jab to the OP and make them feel bad by rubbing their nose in the fact that they only received "an expensive shopping list"? How grumpy can one actually be about that?

Above all, I would be interested in the alternative for the layperson. Who fills out the DWG files for the architect with the lighting specifications? The part-time Ikea salesperson? Do they also do the measurements? And who coordinates with the electrician to clarify questions like Dali yes/no, etc.?

If a layperson can do all that; respect! I can’t, and I’m not ashamed of it.

May I ask about the children's room lamp, which manufacturer the item is from, or is there a special name for it?

Thanks in advance

I can help: Foscarini Model: Bahia Parete approx. 450 EUR, polycarbonate (shown above in #23)

Otherwise, regarding planning: I would not illuminate the steps individually underneath the tread, especially not with white risers, as the grazing light would likely emphasize every "flaw" even more. Better use simple recessed wall spots in the wall.

Overall, I would also provide a few wall lights for nice accentuations.

An interesting lamp for the coffee table or also the dining table.
