... do you mean the kitchen plan from post 31? ... that is just an example of an island with a wall partition and not specifically made for Bertram's room.

Kitchen on the left side we have also had before... the counterpoint was that it could be difficult with the water connection.

I have seen the pictures from planlinken L. Great how quickly you can conjure up 3D. I will look at them calmly tomorrow and write something about it. Tomorrow I have a day off and have some time.

Last night I also thought of the following: my neighbor's apartment is rotated 90° relative to mine. So, theoretically, the neighbors could look into the balcony window on the plan's upper side. I am adding a crop photo from the overall plan so that you can see this. To the left of my apartment is the neighbor. Therefore, I would prefer to put the kitchen on the right side of the plan, so the neighbor can watch me cooking instead of watching me lounging on the sofa. I would find that quite uncomfortable (but I also have to admit that I have never hung curtains in any of my apartments so far. Actually, I prefer windows without anything on them. If the other person could look into the living room, they were usually annoyed by it and then hung curtains. One set of curtains is enough for privacy).
