By the way, I also always find it helpful to leave "completed" threads standing – the participants visible as fellow discussants in a forum are always just the tip of the iceberg, meaning each story benefits many more silent readers. Much of what is said applies not only to the individual case.
The thread itself can and should remain. Especially as a "negative" example of how one can get stuck on an idea and not realize that the partner does not share the enthusiasm.
I just want the attachments to be deleted because they show addresses, etc.
