The thread itself can and should remain. Especially as a "negative" example of how one can get stuck on an idea and not realize that the partner does not share the enthusiasm.

I just want the attachments to be deleted because they show addresses, etc.

A renovation is not necessary.

I just get upset about things like, for example, the neighbor building a massive garage on the border, which completely blocked my view from the kitchen window towards the west.

Or that the neighbor’s dogs constantly leave their "mess" on our property, then dispose of it in their trash bins, and it smells like decay outside on the terrace.

Or those who always park so close in front of the driveway that you have to maneuver about 10 times to be able to park on your own plot in the parking space.

Probably the everyday madness everyone knows..

Now I’ve come clean and everyone is probably holding their heads right now..

Oh, I see. So basically the underlying idea: "new property, new luck"

Some people have a dog just because they don't dare to shit in their neighbor's driveway themselves. But running away doesn't help, only a clear stance does.

The main idea was: new plot = new house according to my own ideas + "fewer" problems..

I got so caught up in the idea of the house according to my own ideas that I didn't see some other problems because of it.

But, it all turned out well in the end..

Everyone is allowed and able to change their opinions. I think it's good that you honestly told us your reasons - some people quietly sneak away here without a word. Your small flaws are also a topic here: I would put them up for discussion. But regarding the "flaws" you mentioned, I can only say:

That can also happen to you on the property you bought. Or there are other things that you don’t think of now because you don’t have them. It’s like changing a partner: ultimately there are always drawbacks - whether one or the other is better or worse can usually not be said.

Well, then I invite you to indulge your planning urge in the floor plan discussions.

I have to admit, I briefly thought about slinking away myself, it would be the easiest. But some took the time to write answers and think along with me here, so I just find it fair to give this a conclusion. That’s what my husband said too, a different plot can also mean different problems.
