OK matter of opinion, I would describe myself as brave, but for that I wouldn't have the "balls". Then I would simply rent.

I had already written something similar about the income-expense situation in another post of yours.

Sorry... but if I have a household income of 6000 euros, in most cases I have done something for it (studied, ambitious in the job, etc.)
To be honest, I don't want to have to live on just 3000 euros a month.
What’s the point of living in Munich if I then have to severely restrict myself.

Somehow, the ratio of a 1.3 million city house in Nymphenburg to 3000 euros all-in living expenses doesn’t add up for me.
Unless you really don’t have to save anything because you are 100% sure that the big inheritance will come in within a maximum of 5 years.

In the end, it always depends on preferences. I don’t want to spend more than 50% of my income on the house.
But here there are also people who have saved 75% of their income for the house for years and have lived according to the Hartz IV standard.

I already think 50% for the house is a lot. We are planning with 33%. So 1,550 € installment, 250 € additional costs and 200 € reserves.

Hmm, so yes, we have done something for our household income, for example, earned a PhD. Because of that, we now had the luxury to decide whether we want to afford a house in the Munich area or not
For us, a clear matter.
We also have more luxury; we don’t have to work full-time for our 6k and can spend a lot of time with our children.
So we are very satisfied

Hartz IV would be 1400€ in our case. So we have 1600€ more every month. If we deduct another 600€ for additional costs and maintenance reserves, I still have 1000€ more every month.

We actually allow ourselves everything we want.
We go on trips every weekend, fly on vacation at least once a year, we are in numerous clubs and music groups...
Honestly, no idea what I would have to do without.
But everyone is just very different.

You are sugarcoating it.

We don't need to sugarcoat it. If we wanted more money, we would just work a few more hours. But I prefer to sit in the swimming pool with my children in the afternoon rather than pick them up from [the daycare] with a Porsche. And I prefer to take 2 weeks of vacation in Turkey (Corona aside) and enjoy the rest of the year in my own garden rather than vacation in Hawaii. But everyone has to make these decisions for themselves.
