How do you now come to the conclusion that everything is great? I only answered the questions asked. Why do you feel immediately attacked? I just wrote that with the kitchen, as with the car or garden, you can set different priorities. Some only want to get from A to B and buy a Dacia for 10,000 EUR, and others only drive BMW, Audi, or Mercedes and have to spend at least 40,000 EUR.

We are currently also dealing with the kitchen topic. We have planned Nobilia (simple, but no foil fronts - PG2), the electrical appliances are already good mid-range. We were surprised by the price. So 3-6000€ seems very ambitious to me.

I am a bit skeptical and afraid that you might be sugarcoating it or twisting it in your head to be nicer than it is... no offense meant.

We have budgeted 630 € per month just for cars (an older car), insurances (we are rather underinsured), property tax, electricity, additional costs, telephone & internet, GEZ and copying costs. That leaves you 870 € for 3 people for food, clothing, toiletries, vacation, gifts, pocket money, furniture, class trips, excursions, bicycles, household appliances... With the 1000 € reserve it’s certainly doable; if that is already secretly planned for special repayments, then not.

Again about the kitchen: 3 T€ huge kitchen from Nobilia including appliances, assembly and delivery sounds interesting – maybe feasible as an offer? Fridge freezer 250 €, oven including cooktop 300 €, extractor hood 100 €, sink with faucet 100 €, dishwasher 200 € makes 950 € for the appliances, 550 € for delivery and assembly, leaving 1500 € for furniture and countertop. Flooring and painting might work.

What about outdoor facilities? Mailbox, carport, paving work, terrace, rainwater cistern, drainage (?), sewage, house connections, garden shed all included? At 2560 € / sqm probably yes.

I have to agree with BeHaElJa. I am also skeptical about your listing. Not even €1,200 per month for 3 people including kindergarten place/car/all insurances/taxes/car repairs/vacation/special expenses etc...? No idea what we are doing wrong, but even with the most frugal lifestyle I wouldn’t know how that should work. But respect if you really manage that.

The Nobilia kitchen was an offer. But kitchen offers are available every week. We could even plan it freely. There are two 60 cm base cabinets, one 50 cm base cabinet (only doors, no drawer technology [those cost a good extra]) each with a drawer above the door, an electric stove with ceramic cooktop (company BEKO, so low price) and extractor hood, a dishwasher (Whirlpool), a free 60 cm space for the washing machine (so just the countertop extension), a sink base cabinet (sink and faucet also low price) and a fridge-freezer combination built into a highboard. Color standard white (so no high gloss or other colors that cost extra) and a countertop offered at the offer price (also a normal one, so no stone countertop made of granite). Additionally, three 60 cm wall cabinets with glass fronts. All that for 2600 EUR, plus 300 EUR for delivery and assembly.

Money-draining, special requests and branded appliances

Current example:

Also a Nobilia branded kitchen 240x240 for 3000€ complete including assembly.

Mailbox, carport, paving work, terrace, rainwater cistern, drainage (?), sewage, house connections, garden shed all included?

Mailbox, carport and garden shed are not included. Instead of a carport, however, a garage with a door to the garden where garden tools could also be stored.

Just that this kitchen probably won't fit yours and as soon as you plan freely you'll get the correct prices, I'm afraid Also 4.4 m kitchen is not exactly huge - but whatever. Just want to say that you should keep your eyes open and plan a bit more conservatively... if it really turns out that cheap in the end, take a vacation to recover from the construction stress.
