You can see that very clearly with vinyl flooring, even if it is glued down. Just let the sun bake it on the south side... The adhesive does not hold up to that and it buckles... Seen with my own eyes and every sensible floor installer knows how much vinyl expands or contracts. If you then glue it down, the force has to go somewhere...

So obviously there is no clear opinion here either. We are getting underfloor heating throughout the house and have decided on a Joka Classic.

Sorry, that's nonsense. I have been gluing vinyl in various houses for years - without problems. Every floor layer has always recommended gluing to us, especially where we had underfloor heating.

Of course, it's nonsense. Then vinyl wouldn't be allowed on an HDF carrier either. Because otherwise, it would ripple when the sun shines on it.

So, two specialist stores advised us to glue it. Especially because of the underfloor heating, since the heat conduction is supposedly better when glued. And you can nicely replace a plank if something happens.

I'm not sure now, but is it allowed to lay click flooring in large rooms in one piece? I have some recollection that click flooring is only allowed up to a certain square meter area. But as I said, I'm not sure if that's exactly researched.

We have laid click flooring before, and I don't imagine gluing to be more complicated. Click laminate is definitely easier to click together. Maybe it was the manufacturer [emoji848] Although it wasn't a cheap floor.
Well, we'll see how the gluing goes and whether there are waves.
