So, a new draft with 8.90 x 9.90. The kitchen/dining/living area is basically already set. We want an almost completely open area here, although the L-shape means there should be no direct line of sight between the kitchen and the living room. The size of the WC and utility room fits in my opinion, and the staircase does not start in the dirt zone. On the contrary, the staircase has already reached more than half its height next to the entrance area, which means you can then store shoes, a stroller, or even the Bobby-Car there. The door to the utility room was deliberately placed lower so that cabinet space can be created in the upper part of the hallway.
The hinge side of the front door was deliberately chosen so that you can take off your shoes right away and then place them under the stairs.
The floor plan on the upper floor must then somewhat orient itself to the ground floor plan (staircase; utility room under bathroom). The bedroom consciously takes a bit of space away from children's room 1. Of course, you could draw a straight line there and that is often preferred here, but with about 65cm, a standard bedroom wardrobe, even in L-shape with a corner element, fits into the bedroom. The exact position of the staircase was chosen so that there is about 55-60cm of passage on each side. We currently have a 180cm mattress, but the bed is almost 200cm, so at the moment there is rather 55cm. With a 187cm bed with a 180cm mattress, there is even 64cm of passage next to the bed.
When it comes to access to the bathroom, we first thought about it, but the consideration for the door placement was: We don’t want to fly straight down the stairs from the bathroom.
Edit: The living room is the central point of the house and that also means that you can use this room as a passage. There is enough space there, more space is available than is purely necessary for functional use. The kitchen is a functional room. A 30sqm kitchen as a passage room works in my opinion, but when we talk about kitchens of 9-15sqm, those are functional kitchens.
