Nice that there are different opinions about the technologies following the punch card. The only sin is the tinkering if the house no longer functions adequately without the respective technology used.

Here is the next and in my opinion the biggest sin:
Precious space on the property that was wasted on parking spaces, driveways, carports, or garages.

For us, a whole 120m² that could have been the south garden. Of course, we also take almost everything that has been listed here so far.

Also a matter of opinion. We have 2 parking spaces in the carport and 3 in front of the carport. Currently 2 cars. Now you have to consider that the children will each have a car + girlfriends or boyfriends.

Personally, I get nothing out of maintaining 120sqm more garden. You see, this is again a matter of opinion. Like everything else here as well.

What one can note, in my opinion, is that all permanently installed technology that cannot be replaced will be rubbish in 20 years. See ISDN sockets with the corresponding wiring. We had someone here recently who asked if those were ISDN sockets in his existing house. Today they are unusable.

Garden totally unnecessary, garages and parking spaces are more important. Garage preferably 9 by 7 m with ceiling crane and welding corner. then you are well prepared

not to forget the pit in the garage. The remaining garden is then filled with gravel, which is much easier to maintain, no weeds will grow. Plants can be placed individually in pots or raised beds - after all, you have to think about old age

In my future, the car will come via app and I won’t need all that anymore. Or at least my children. You can still pave, build a pool or a bigger house on the property. Or chickens.
