Yes, because it will neither be economically nor technically sensible to retrofit existing buildings. However, the prices for access technologies in new constructions will fall so much that a large portion of people will switch. Which car today is still operated with a key? Probably nobody would have thought that 20 years ago either.

- Coaxial cabling is only a construction sin if it is not in a conduit.

- Gas heating can be replaced eventually. The bigger sin is when the underfloor heating has large pipe spacing and requires a high supply temperature.
