You're right, they forgot to install the anti-rattle strips in our case. But I have to say, it's still okay in the rain; you sometimes hear the dripping but it doesn't bother me. For me, aluminum window sills are visually much nicer than marble and also cheaper.

They are definitely cheaper. But are they really much nicer??? Of course, it's a matter of taste. However, I would still be interested in what the majority thinks about it...

Aluminum window sills always look a bit cheap, but of course that's just my personal opinion. I'm a fan of marble, there are nice ones to choose from.

Opinions really seem to differ on that. I find aluminum benches clearly more beautiful than marble/granite..., at least for a "normal" single-family house.

I would unclasp the claddings and recoate them - aside from that, they can also be foiled, which is probably cheaper (and would also be possible while assembled).

It also depends on whether the bedroom faces the weather side. Marble wouldn't be my choice either, rather subtle granite. My interior window sills cost a total of 2500€, but yes, aluminum is certainly cheaper. You don't have to have huge cornices just because it's natural stone instead of aluminum. It can still look modern.
