I also tend to prefer uniform gray/anthracite with a white facade. Preferably with cladding as an accent.

Since anthracite-colored windows are still being installed and are repeatedly mentioned here, a quick question:

Can windows with aluminum cladding (not foil-covered) actually be painted?

For all movable things, I agree with . And when I think of my parents' house, it was renovated anyway after about 20 years. But you have to be able to endure the tiles for that long.

Anthracite-colored windows with aluminum window sills.
Prefer window sills made of granite.

Aluminum window sills is a good hint. I said before construction that I didn’t want any. You can hear every drop then. When choosing the windows, everyone recommended aluminum and of course they said they were quiet because there is a great anti-drumming strip underneath. No way. You get used to it, just like you get used to weather on the Velux window. But it’s not the smartest solution, it’s the cheapest.
