I don't have it in my head anymore because of the whole stairs and vacuum discussion, but I wonder if you really need the pantry. I would allocate the space to the utility room and rather make the kitchen a bit bigger. This eliminates an (unnecessary) door and you have a room that you can design better and possibly divide.

We have now created a 2nd variant with a slightly changed house position, as in my opinion this allows for better use of the garden. I am posting both variants here again. It would be nice if you could tell us which advantages/disadvantages you see in each and which version you prefer. The respective room usage and sizes are almost identical, only arranged differently due to the changed entrance.

What we like better about each variant:

Var1: (Entrance on the long side)
+ Size of the hallway on the ground floor (with an entrance on the long side this is always easier; with a gable entrance there is always a relatively long corridor)
+ Brighter hallway on the upper floor

Var2: (Entrance on the gable side)
+ Larger garden area
+ Kitchen closer to the terrace + terrace door (discussion about whether this should be in the kitchen or pantry to get more workspace in the kitchen)
+ Brighter children’s rooms due to dormer
+ Small storage space under the stairs

Since the question about the necessity of the pantry has come up more frequently... we would like to separate the technology from the utility room/pantry. That is why we have positioned it separately again by the kitchen.

Option 2. Would plan access to the bedroom through the dressing room.

I see it like ... I like variant 2 much better .. nice podium stairs not near the entrance etc.

However, I would rather arrange the kitchen differently .. the cooking area on the left wall towards the utility room ... less crossdrafts for the extractor hood and then a sink/work island in the middle of the room with a view to the south.

Tip ... next time give different variants their own posts, then pictures etc. can be assigned faster

Definitely option 2
But swap the technology and the toilet. 1. because of the dirty area by the front door and 2. because of the toilet window next to the front door.
Do you want to do laundry in the pantry?

No... I wouldn’t swap the [Technik] and [WC/Dusche], because then you can’t arrange the shower so conveniently. And [Technik] can still make good use of the space under the stairs.
