I find the option with the straight staircase nicer... I think the corridors somehow appear more spacious and stylish (provided you also implement the staircase in a nice form and not as a built-in or cast block). I also like the separated area for the wardrobe, shower bathroom, and technical room here. However, I would definitely change the direction of the staircase to move the entrance on the ground floor out of the dirt area. And in the upper floor, I would return to the previous planning and place the children's rooms in the south by the dormer and the bedroom in the northeast corner.

Are the drawn-in pieces of furniture chosen by you, or are they program suggestions? Especially in the living room area, the last post lacks the placement area for the couch. With the additional floor-to-ceiling window element, it will be difficult to create a quiet retreat area for the whole family there.

In both variants, I find the fireplace inconveniently placed because you always have to walk around it to get to the kitchen.

In general, I prefer the floor plan from post 55 with the half-landing staircase.

You could also place two sofas opposite each other there.

Maybe the fireplace would be better positioned above the door from the hallway:

And have the door from the hallway to the living-dining area open the other way.

I find the version with the long staircase very cool. It will be difficult to film it so that the entrance is not in the dirty area, right? You can still create storage space under the staircase. Is the space for a large dining table sufficient so that one can still walk nicely around it?

I also really like the option with the straight staircase. The double-leaf door creates a brighter, more open impression! However, I would rotate it if possible... but only if possible! Otherwise: very harmonious floor plan, I like it a lot

Thank you again for the feedback...

Yes, the dirt area was also an argument for the platform variant back then. By rotating the straight staircase, the problem with the dirt area could certainly be fixed again, but I currently can't imagine it visually at all... looking from the entrance area onto the converging staircase stringer??? We wanted to design it open because otherwise the entrance area would become too narrow for us. Have you ever seen it like that or found pictures of it on the internet?

The furniture is drawn as currently existing. One could at most implement the outer windows as non-floor-to-ceiling window elements, then the corner for the couch should actually be enough....

We are also still having some trouble with the fireplace position... however, above the door from the hallway, the TV/living wall is currently planned, so it would also be very tight here... Another option would be to place the fireplace on the opposite exterior wall... however, the floor-to-ceiling terrace door would then have to be omitted.
