So, at some point at the beginning, someone, I believe Yvonne, suggested split-level.
I have now tried to implement that in a layman’s way.
Half of the house is properly buried in the ground at the bottom of the property as a basement. Then about 130 cm high is Ground Floor Level 1 with the entrance level from the street and also the driveway for the garage. There is then a combination room for working/guest sleeping, a guest bathroom, plenty of space for the wardrobe, and, if desired, the passage from the garage.
With a height difference of about 150 cm it goes to Ground Floor Level 2 .. the dining/cooking/living area.
From there, again with a height difference of about 130 cm to Upper Floor Level 1, intended for the master bedroom, family bathroom, and a utility room for washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner, and the like.
And finally, again with a height difference of about 150 cm to Upper Floor Level 2 for the children. 2 large south-facing children’s rooms.
Some earthworks are also necessary here to make the terrace level and to ensure the driveway is level. However, this should be in a much smaller area than your current earthmoving.
Maybe this is an approach. Perhaps it has all turned out a bit too large. There is also quite a lot of hallway space, but that can be well utilized.
You can definitely see what height differences there are.
