So, at some point at the beginning, someone, I believe Yvonne, suggested split-level.

I have now tried to implement that in a layman’s way.

Half of the house is properly buried in the ground at the bottom of the property as a basement. Then about 130 cm high is Ground Floor Level 1 with the entrance level from the street and also the driveway for the garage. There is then a combination room for working/guest sleeping, a guest bathroom, plenty of space for the wardrobe, and, if desired, the passage from the garage.

With a height difference of about 150 cm it goes to Ground Floor Level 2 .. the dining/cooking/living area.

From there, again with a height difference of about 130 cm to Upper Floor Level 1, intended for the master bedroom, family bathroom, and a utility room for washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner, and the like.

And finally, again with a height difference of about 150 cm to Upper Floor Level 2 for the children. 2 large south-facing children’s rooms.

Some earthworks are also necessary here to make the terrace level and to ensure the driveway is level. However, this should be in a much smaller area than your current earthmoving.

Maybe this is an approach. Perhaps it has all turned out a bit too large. There is also quite a lot of hallway space, but that can be well utilized.

You can definitely see what height differences there are.

Depending on the length considered, 50cm height difference is 10% gradient at 5m length or 5% gradient at 10m length. According to the Bavarian garage regulations, that should still be acceptable. From 10% it gets a bit more complicated: "(2) Between a public traffic area and a ramp with more than 10% incline, there must be a less steep area with less than 5% incline and at least 3 m in length."

Wow Awesome!

Thank you very much for your invested time. You don't just do something like that in 5 minutes!!!
I like it very much! I will discuss it with my BU tomorrow.

And exactly, what you cited regarding inclination etc. must make the realization grow within you that already 5 m with 50 cm height difference require an additional 3 m with a max. 25 cm height difference. I can only recommend that you draw it out .. And then place a car on the drawn lines. There you will notice what I mentioned, the strange kink

You did a very nice job again, Kerstin. The height differences can be clearly seen in the views, but they have also been somewhat aligned.

Here is the corpus delicti in an aerial photograph. Heights are not visible here, but you can see what the neighbors have done.
