The driveway to the garage has to be flat.

I obviously need a straight driveway to the garage – I can’t have any unevenness or inclines here. Since the driveway already takes up almost the entire yard, or rather the width of the garage is nearly as wide as the whole yard, I can’t keep the house entrance elevated. If I keep the house entrance elevated, I would have to plan steps inevitably because otherwise, I would have "nothing" in terms of height difference between the garage and the house entrance? :D

If I set the garage at curb level, I’m flat in front – but then logically, I need steps at the front to the house entrance.
If I raise the garage, I definitely have to compensate 34cm at the very front. According to the attached plan, you can see that this then creates an extremely dead corner at the front, or a small "ramp".

Ok, the plan makes it clear. In the first draft, I thought the garage opens to the right.

That would be nice :D The garage next to the house (as most certainly most have) would of course simplify everything, then there ultimately wouldn’t be any problems...

But we will solve that too!

I think, as mentioned, you can compensate for the 3rd step + the remaining 15cm height difference :)

Who planned this? Architect??

You can forget about such a slope on a short distance. I would definitely work with the additional step at the house.

But I have to admit, I haven’t fully understood the plan yet. Those two lines are your driveway? So you would have enough distance to overcome the slope, since you’re not driving perpendicular to the street, right?
And the garage is a meter away from the curb. If you sacrifice that corner, you could probably also work with a wall there and design your driveway like a ramp. Over that distance, it’s not really a slope anymore.
But it wouldn’t be cheap either.
Then again, maybe I misunderstood the plan.

The two lines are the "planned" driveway into the garage, so yes, the driveway for the cars.

This naturally creates a dead corner next to the left corner of the garage. The first about 2 meters I then have to accommodate accordingly with a wall, flower beds, stones, or similar.

The driveway itself has about a 5% slope over the 7m – that is definitely not a problem! As I said – it’s ultimately only about the enormous slope on the first 2 meters.

The slope gradually decreases, so it becomes easier to pave after those 2 meters and I then only have a slight incline – provided I work with a third step!!

With the current plan with 2 steps, it doesn’t really work out cleanly... The 34cm slope then stretches significantly "worse" towards the left side, so the extension with stones, etc. becomes significantly longer. A 15cm slope that results from a third step is of course much easier to overcome.

Our general contractor planned it – the house should ultimately have just been set deeper... :/

In the end, we can live well with a third step, so the annoyance is limited :D

Yes, so first of all, the additional step is certainly the easiest solution.
I think I expressed myself poorly before. Alternatively, the garage could be set higher and a wall built in the red area to compensate for the height difference, and from the green area there could be a slope towards the street. A slope can be a smooth transition and does not necessarily have to have right angles in 2D.
But of course, this sacrifices space in the red area and would certainly be an expensive solution.
Therefore, it's a pity that the general contractor didn't think this through, but the step at the house is certainly the lesser evil.
