That’s clear ... but how will the garage driveway be realized? The basement would have to be like a floor on the north side and practically lie in the slope on the south side, yet the entrance/garage (driveway?) should be on the ground floor? It’s about the height differences, after all 4 meters:
Unfortunately, I can’t say exactly yet but you are right about that. Personally, I was thinking of something like a split level, meaning
[*]Garage relatively far down
[*]then up two steps into the entrance area of the residential unit
[*]living room and kitchen raised a bit more, again reachable by one or two steps
That is one of our problems, as written in the opening post. We don’t know how to use the slope to our advantage.
Let’s see what our construction company and planner say about it today. We have an appointment this afternoon.
What do the “pencil numbers” in the elevation plan actually mean?
I can’t tell you right now. I’ll ask today. We received the elevation measurements as is without comments.
If the upper floor (i.e. parents/kids) is a full floor and the knee wall only reduces in the attic, you don’t have a 2-meter line on the upper floor ... or how is that to be understood?
That would be the case, yes. But as I said, I want a shed roof towards the terrace, and we need to see how far down we can/may go – because a shed roof at 5 meters height makes no sense.
Theoretically, I would locate the garage rather in the east. Is it mandatory to place it in the west, or can that be waived like the ridge direction?
Unfortunately, it’s fixed in the development plan. We may change the ridge direction. For the garage, a justified exception permit is needed.

Kitchen .. if washing/cooking are in separate rows, the distance shouldn’t exceed 120 cm. Otherwise, it just becomes impractical.
I told my wife that. She has an appointment with the kitchen planner on Friday.
The roof overhangs are quite huge ... especially in front of the kitchen .. sure, a covered seating area should be created there, but that also takes quite a bit of light from the kitchen.
That’s right. The light strip on the west (kitchen) and the open space (windows almost up to the shed roof) should compensate for that. But it’s not finally fixed yet – sizes might change a bit.
There are also other “errors” in the floor plan ... either doors directly at the corner to the wall (dressing room) or windows (children’s rooms), so no usable space is created there. I also consider the windows in the children’s rooms too small. I would rather orient children’s rooms towards the south/west. After all, those are the children’s living spaces.
I will take another look at the doors, thanks for the hint. I couldn’t finalize the windows upstairs yet because I still don’t know at which height the roof will rest. Hopefully that will be clarified today.

Plot dimensions: 25 m wide and 33 m deep?
Yep, 25 m wide and 33–35 m deep.
Many thanks for your time, kbt09!
