Hello Katja,

great! Thank you very much.
It would definitely be a huge reduction of the paved area, which my back gratefully appreciates...

I will sketch your idea of the layout this evening.

Then the earthworks will probably become significantly more expensive. But yes, if I have to make too many compromises otherwise, that could unfortunately be an option.

I don’t see any with a square floor plan either – rather slender. Then maybe an attic can fit onto the house and a straight staircase.

Just quickly checked on the homepage of Weberhaus. (I had in mind that they have a series with rather narrow and long floor plans)

The floor plan can definitely be adjusted, but what immediately stands out to me:
- no bathtub, I wouldn’t immediately know where to put one either
- kitchen somewhat small
- installation would have to become an office
- no walk-in closet

What do you think of the floor plan? It’s the Sunshine 120 with 136m2.

Also not suitable. But I would forbid myself to evaluate a quickly found floor plan from the internet as usable or not within a few hours, considering that architectural planning develops and is not supposed to be fixed within minutes. I will also correct myself: although it is a suitable plot for a slim house, there could be some problems here with under 140 sqm to meet the desire for east and west.

After work, I quickly went to the property again today because we had nice weather and took two photos.
For better understanding, I marked on the site plan where I stood for each photo and in which direction I photographed.

The shots were taken at 5:00 p.m. The shadow of the house already extends quite far toward the east of our property.
That was also the reason why in my first draft a terrace facing west was planned.
I will think about it again tomorrow and do some sketching.
Until then, many thanks for all the comments.
