You misunderstand me: those who draw themselves develop a feel for it. More than if I only consume pictures. For your customers, of course, it's cool because they can immediately see what the new wall unit looks like. But whether they can imagine it like that in their living room, the program no longer helps. However, if I am someone who has already somehow dealt with my rooms graphically, then I also have a much better feel for how this fancy 3D wall will actually look in the living room.

Yes, it has to be - see focus on architecture studies.

I don’t see the difference between drawing and working on the computer. You have to learn distances, shapes, etc. just the same as by hand. On the contrary - on the computer I have to be able to do it anyway, so why not learn it properly right away?

I do think so, because it's exactly the customers' rooms that are recreated. Including windows, doors, trallalla and tuttifrutti. But I fear there are just two opinions on that...

Yep. I also received a little picture of our living room furniture. What is unfortunately missing (and what I never would have asked for, because otherwise the poor guy would have had to fiddle with it forever) is the furnishing of the rest of the room. We have everything in one room (and it’s not very big): dining, kitchen, living. That does have an impact on how a piece of furniture feels. Of course, the wall where the thing was going was drawn, the colors roughly chosen, but the kitchen next door was simply not shown. I could still imagine it well

Old math teacher saying: if you already know how, you are allowed to use the calculator. I also have nothing against CAD – I wouldn’t draw execution plans analog anymore today either. But in the sketch stage, "handmade" is irreplaceable. And the little programs simply bring the user too early into the stage of execution plans. You can see that nicely in the thread history of : the spaceship Enterbauhaus already looked almost finished over 1,200 posts ago. Every little detail was "visualized." Unfortunately, just without understanding of the execution, and then the insulation at the interface living room ceiling / roof terrace produces a threshold height at the exit doors that is surprising for laypeople, the WC drain vent is not visible from the drawing, and the electricity company receives – digitally, but unfortunately faulty document management – the wrong (old) plan of the connection room.

And you think that would be better by hand? Maybe it would be even much worse... For me, there is a lot of romantic idealization from the artistically gifted dream architect involved.
