I completely (!) cover my scrap paper needs with the third pages printed exclusively with and because of this eco-do-gooder footer.

Why do you print out emails? I can't think of anything to say about that...

But it's nice to know that in a time when climate change and its devastating consequences are undeniable, you belittle someone who cares a little about the environment as an "eco do-gooder"...

Because I don’t want to memorize them all (or carry around a permanent email reader) just to be able to discuss them with colleagues.

No. I’m just pointing out that "think before you print" achieves the opposite, and "think before you add the line ‘think before you print’" might be wiser. The waste of time caused by scanning every email to be printed to check whether you have to reduce it by 98% just to avoid starting a third page because of that stupid line is beyond belief.

I wouldn't know the last time I printed an email. I'd rather tuck the pad under my arm. But every job is different.

The poor OP, whose request has long been forgotten here.

After recovering from my roaring laughter attack, which struck me over someone who only works at the computer on the job and must under no circumstances make a mistake because otherwise the boss gets mad (great company culture, I say...), and already fails online to tell apart two completely different nicknames, I have been sitting on the couch for a long time with a huge bag of chips.

q.e.d., says the mathematician in me *still wiping tears of laughter from my eyes*
