Your plan is quite nice, but it doesn’t work for several reasons: the west side is the only side where houses stand, so it’s unsuitable for a terrace. To the north there is open field, to the south/east an unobstructed view into the wide valley. The street in front (your planned driveway) is a dead end and we are the last house; after that it turns into a dirt road. Accordingly, the orientation of our house is already perfected (see above). Also, in my opinion, your planned driveway is far too sharp-angled; I wouldn’t want to always drive or maneuver the car in there. As I said, well-intentioned, but unfortunately not suitable for our property. (We initially even brainstormed that way with our architect, but then reasonably discarded it for the reasons mentioned.) Thanks anyway!
My plan is not only nice but well thought out. Due to lack of necessary information only partially perfect. But in any case better than the one you proposed. Where is your terrace? How do you want to shape the terrain? Are you allowed to fill the terrain that extremely? Or do you want an elevated terrace? All questions that remain unanswered.
One day you will be glad to get some shade from the west. Especially since you can also orient the terrace completely to the south. You neither show the surroundings nor have you said what is important to you.
Show an aerial photo and photos of the surroundings.
What does the municipal ordinance, the development plan, or if in doubt the state building code say about the parking spaces? You don’t respond to inquiries. I would never plan such a long steep driveway, and then still in the southwest?
Where are the parking spaces for the second residential unit supposed to go?
Are you sure that nothing will ever be built to the north? Why not orient the house to the north then? If that is so important to you.
You planned a house and then placed it somewhere. That makes no sense to me. On a slope you plan together with the terrain shape. For example, I positioned the house "Tieger" so that extremely large fillings aren’t required.
Provide all the necessary information, then I’ll reconsider a perfection.
I don’t see a complete second residential unit in your plan. That is easy to fix, but it’s not present in your plan.
