All of this together currently makes the house special. Without the glass railings, then some floor-to-ceiling windows can also be removed in one or another place. Bay windows gone... then interior room lines are missing or supports inside, resulting in a different space. Therefore, I would find it important to address the and then develop anew from the answers.

Thank you for your questions. On the ground floor, the plan is: the entrance area (spaciously designed to enable a pleasant arrival), with cloakroom + mirror, storage space for outdoor clothing, (many) shoes, dog stuff, possibly a seating area for putting on shoes. Then storage room, utility room (washing machine, drying laundry, cleaning supplies…), technical room. And a multifunctional room (fitness, cabinet for work documents and possibly workspace, guest room) as well as sauna, shower, washbasin and WC.

We currently also have bathroom and WC separated and find that very convenient. For us, putting them together would rather be a makeshift solution. But I gathered that the toilets are thought to be too small.

I take every constructive comment seriously that does not just say "that will never work." I am happy about ideas and suggestions. Thank you.

And with such fundamental points, I always (mentally) come to a halt. Glass fronts that would be enough for 5 normal detached houses, but toilet size like in a terraced house. (The project probably has to be “thoroughly reworked” once. And in the end, nothing remains of the original idea/drawing. Again, there are no €75 designer shoes... whether expert or not ;).)

so with shoes it will probably be the same as with designer furniture. In second hand (designer shoes are sometimes only worn 1-3 times by women!) they are available for very little money, even if the new price is over 500€. Examples: "Designer" granite dining table once cost 3500 new, on eBay Classifieds 150€ (plus 3 hours of “work time” for two people + km driving). The Philippe Starck AI designer dining chairs (normally about 190€) I bought here and there on eBay and eBay Classifieds between 60€ and 110€) etc.

What speaks against saving by buying, for example, the high-end kitchen used, the flooring from outlet etc.?

Thank you very much for your helpful questions. This is exactly the kind of discussion I hoped for here. I want to examine the current draft for meaningfulness and coherence based on such questions. I will write down our considerations and would be very glad if you could then give me critical feedback on them. Have a nice day!

I'm not sure if the fireplace would work well there; it would somehow be in the middle. I would probably want it in the living room, either to the right or left of the large glass front. That way, you can lie comfortably on the sofa and look outside past the flames...
