Floor plan for single-family house 164 sqm / 2 full floors optimization

We have not planned a children's bathroom. We think one bathroom and the small shower toilet on the ground floor are sufficient. Of course, this is also a cost factor. That is also how it is currently in the apartment.

The clear ceiling height is 2.79m. Ceiling between basement/upper floor is 22mm, floor construction 21mm.

We plan the terrace as a corner terrace on the east/south around the large windows. The sun should then be on the south terrace from the west side until the evening (see attachment).

Read off the rise ratio of the staircase. Unfortunately, it is hard to read in the plan.

Following entry in the plan: 17 steps, 18.6/25.8

I suppose you mean m and cm Then the story height is (2.79-0.21)+ 0.22 + 0.16 = 2.96m that means 16 steps with 18.5 cm rise

Well, downstairs it shouldn't be a problem. Upstairs something like this would be conceivable:

But in my opinion, that loses a few points of beauty. For example, the corner at the bedroom/dressing room would still need to be straightened, I think.

If you smooth out the wall, you could also swap the bathroom and bedroom, and for example access the utility room as a "back room" from the dressing area. However, the bathroom should be checked again with precise measurements.

If it were mine, I would move the terrace to the middle of the property and position the house sideways (making it a bit narrower and longer):

Where does the clear height of 2.79m come from? Is there a section?

Clear floor-to-floor height makes no sense. Clear is between two surfaces. Floor-to-floor height is raw floor ground floor to raw floor upper floor.

On the other hand, you write room height, then that is probably OK floor slab to bottom of ceiling as I assumed?
