Isn't the garage already on strip foundations? Can't they just be made three centimeters higher?

It reads as if the garage is already standing...

Also have some questions

There was a plan after the house was built and the garage was placed. Afterwards, you wanted to enlarge the terrace and extend it up to the garage. Was this already known to the general contractor (GU) at the time the garage was commissioned? Or did you decide this afterward? I wouldn’t know why the GU and/or the garage construction company should be responsible for this in any way. Or did I misunderstand something here?

Please provide some (partly already requested) information. The easiest would be a plan with measurements, showing what is where, so one can really get an idea.

3cm sounds like, as was already mentioned, there might be other solutions (removing the door, slope, etc.) but you need to be able to get a picture of the situation first.

I am also missing a simple 2D plan here that shows how the garage door/garage is oriented in relation to the terrace/house. It is a different matter if it concerns a corner here or if both are aligned and the terrace at the door basically leads into a path. Every house and property planning is different and cannot be answered in general terms.

Hello,

thank you for the responses. The garage is in place. The garage can no longer be moved. Legally, we have no claims. I have already checked that. That is not the point. It is about the magic word goodwill or at least about a cost-sharing. The problem with the 3 cm was noticed during the garden design. The garden design company is working with the developer. Everything has already been measured and marked with strings where the ceramic tiles should be placed, and the deviation was found. Allegedly, the slope was already taken into account. Sawing off the door will not work, as it would be affected by rust within a year. That was my first thought. There is also a complete seal on the door frame.

How large is the terrace and what is the distance from the terrace door to the garage door? Why gravel can only be poured in a grid of 15cm, you still have to have explained to you. That saves 2cm of gravel and 1cm on the split, then it fits
