the access to the garage... we really struggle with that because we would like to have it.
But I'm still not sure if we can give up the access...
This often causes problems with the connection when the garage is built on or a prefabricated garage is installed. It also seems to be a totally separate structure that will then be connected to the house with silicone. The threshold is often an unsightly compromise, as far as I have learned from other threads.
The question then is also directed to you, the
why.
Dry feet into the house: it's not raining constantly and all the time. Usually only temporarily or at night. And why wouldn't you want to use your own hallway? That's what it is there for. In my example, you could plan an emergency exterior door with a window on the north side. And I'll bet that corner in the north, protected by the garage to the west, will hardly see any rain.
But since the AB as a cloakroom is almost luxurious in size, you'd rather take the entrance door.
And then I wonder why you want the staircase _not_ to be at the entrance if you don't want to use the entrance anyway. I'll put it this way: a staircase stretching long into the house towards the middle offers a lot more possibilities upstairs with your house dimensions.
I see a lot of compromises with this house again that don't have to be if you play through the reasons for your must-haves and are honest with yourself.
