.................. this one is actually for ;)................ Reason below.

Are you sure that you listen and understand? And that you also let the arguments out of YOUR head once in a while and discuss them with your wife?
................

He did: he made YOUR drawing livable.

But that doesn't matter?! West or east is also good in summer. In winter there are other reasons why no yield comes in.

But that doesn't matter. Everyone has a west neighbor where we live... we all live well and are satisfied. Certainly not dissatisfied because of a neighbor's house, rather because of the occupant themselves ;)

In which month? Do you have a photo?

Just realizing, I actually didn’t want to write here anymore... (and even confused you with ).. but you appeared in the new posts ;)

1) I discuss the whole thing with a bunch of people because I am absolutely uncertain. Yes.
With your comments you are warmly invited to keep out of this. I have heard nothing productive from you except criticism. Save it for yourself. Your and my time for writing and reading is not worth it - quite obviously.
2) It’s not about us having a west neighbor, but that because of their 200m2 hut, from 6 p.m. half of our property is in the shade. WHY should I turn the house so as to theoretically use the available sun, only for it then not to arrive because of the neighbor’s house? I have described and drawn it.

This picture, for example, was taken on 01.09 at 6:45 p.m. Then the part of the property where the terrace would be located would be completely shaded. That’s why we have refrained from it so far.

Does that make sense to you?

At least these are arguments that show you have thought about the situation on the property. And the arguments are initially understandable.

But keep in mind that your house also casts a shadow, which will shade the planned terrace from 3 p.m. On the northwest side of the house, there would then be nice sunlight from 3 p.m. onwards. So in the utility room and shower bath.

If you want to live in a sunny spot, it would make sense to consider a second terrace here that is also easily accessible, possibly through a dining area. If I have time later, I will try to make a sketch. I also maintain that for a house of this size, an entrance on the long side has many advantages and prevents unnecessarily long hallways and thus wasted square meters.

What I am currently considering is whether a terrace in the northwest would unfortunately be shaded by the other house. Because from 5/6 p.m. onward the shading is like in the photo. And as I said, a WSW orientation with the house in the way would not be quite so advantageous for the photovoltaic system.

However, the floor plan also shows that a terrace door is already planned on the north side in the living room. That means one would have the option to leave the house there if one ever decided to do so. Although at the northwest corner of the house there is of course the utility room with the heat pump, etc. currently. I will have another architect take a look on Tuesday and see what he says.

PS: I don’t know if it was clear from the photo. But the terrace is planned as shown in the photo.

Maybe like this ...

The terrace would have sun on two-thirds of it until 12 and sun on two-thirds of it again from 3 p.m. Mainly the own house lies in the shade area of the neighbor.
Regarding the room layout, the kitchen and dining area are close to the terrace. The utility room and shower bathroom face the neighbor.

Maybe the whole thing would also work with the house rotated by about 90°. This would have the advantage that the gable windows on the southwest side do not directly face the neighbor’s wall.
