We are 1.78 and 1.68 and have 116cm. We can easily pass each other and find it perfect that way. Drawers on both sides open smoothly. The case that you have an open drawer and need to pass each other is rather rare. That could get tight. But if I, for example, move things from one side to the other, I just need to turn around and can put them down on the other side without changing my position much.

The kitchen builder told us 110 - 120cm.

But it's, like everything, probably very individual. That's why: try it out!

we are 178 and 195 and also have about 115. we like the distance. it should actually have been 120, but because of surface-mounted pipes, the sink row was made "overdeep," so executed at 65cm. but having the 5cm as distance on the countertop is already great. you don't really need the overdepth if you still have a work island. I would also reduce it to 120cm. however, the exact distance is not so important at the current planning stage. because if it is a pure work island (so no connections have to go into the floor here) you can still decide the exact position of the island on the setup day

Just a really dumb question.

"Grundriss im Endstadium", who created this floor plan?

Hi everyone,

yesterday we turned our kitchen into a semi-island kitchen, 1.30m is perfect, 1.20m would also work, but 1.30m is more comfortable. We have to make a small step there, at 1.20m it’s less comfortable. Distance to the fridge preferably 1.50m, otherwise my girlfriend can’t get past when I’m at it.

The current, significantly improved ones are here:
Ground floor: #85
Attic: #83

Do-it-Yourself. But that is by far not in the final stage!

How is the upstairs bathroom supposed to be drained? Through the dining room?
Where are all the installation shafts?

There is really still a lot missing before one can speak of a final stage.

I am not a fan of Do-it-Yourself designs.

Very important still, what has not yet been mentioned:

Does the freezer fit through the pantry door into the pantry? It looks like that doesn’t work.

In our previous rental apartment, no fridge/freezer would fit through the door.
