Is the floor plan for a single-family house structurally realistic?

Thank you very much for the feedback. It is helpfully critical (which is good, because that’s exactly what I asked for :)) and constructive. The plan is merely a "first wish" from laypeople (us) who tried to visually represent the picture in their heads. I have one more question....

Do you really find the staircase in the middle so unusual? The goal was to keep everything somehow open and yet create a certain separation (living room - dining room - kitchen). The basic idea behind the staircase is that family members "meet". So not just right at the front door and then immediately upstairs to the room. Also, we like a straight staircase much better than a "U" or "L".

And one more question... Are there really that many "traffic routes"? Okay, from the wardrobe to the kitchen and in front of the staircase entrance... but otherwise?

Before we "tried" the first plan, we made a list of what we would like: - A separate room for washing clothes, hanging them up, ... (i.e. utility room) - a straight staircase - a separate pantry near the kitchen - living room - dining room - kitchen somewhat separated but still somewhat open (so no separate rooms, but so that if I have a poker night in the dining room, the lady can sit "unobserved" in the living room) - a reasonably large wardrobe (here you have to know that there is no wall at the wardrobe - the window belongs to the upper floor) - space for a large dining table (for at least 8 people) - NO basement - ...

Are these wishes so unusual? Is it really that costly to implement the idea more or less like this (yes, costs naturally play an important role :))

P.S.: The hallway between the staircase and pantry is currently about 1.50 m wide. Too narrow?) - The chest of drawers is placed obligatorily once :)

So for me it is not quite understandable why you want to separate the two. What will you have in the pantry and what will be there besides the washing machine, the dryer and a clothesline (+ a cupboard for cleaning supplies)? After all, the utility room does not look so small that there wouldn’t be space for a freezer and a shelf for canned goods etc.

Hello,
since it is now moving more towards floor plan planning, you should maybe post the necessary information listed by Yvonne in this thread: . That way we can probably help you better.
Maybe you have already created a floor plan for the upper floor?

What I also noticed:
The way from the kitchen (e.g. refrigerator) to the dining table is very far. However, you will walk this way very often (setting and clearing the breakfast table, setting and clearing the lunch table, maybe an afternoon coffee in between, and the same again in the evening). For me, the distance is too far. I would rather accept the long way from the garage to the kitchen that you also have.
Regarding the pantry: We have a large freezer and a storage cabinet in the utility room. In my opinion, you don’t need more than that today. Everything else is stored either directly in the kitchen or in the boiler room (in your case an extension) behind the garage. Therefore, I would rather allocate the space of your pantry to the kitchen (and maybe partly also to the utility room).

The utility room is about 10m² and was actually intended to be used only for washing, drying, ... (at least that was the idea) - close to the garden for hanging laundry.
In the pantry, I would then have everything related to food (canned goods, drinks, pasta, snacks, ...) and also the "clean" waste like the yellow bag and waste paper. - close to the kitchen

The distance to the dining table is correct, I will have to look at the distance again more closely.

For me, however, the kitchen would be too big if I left out the pantry.

I wouldn’t cling too much to the floor plan you created in this early phase.

This list works

(including the notes you might already have taken from here) just go to an architect and ask for a free initial consultation with a rough floor plan sketch.
Maybe something good will come out of it.

No one said that the design is close to perfect by removing the pantry (please delete your ß from your letters).
That is why it is advised to abandon this design and start over or consult a professional right away.
Your demands are standard; you are now trying to reinvent the wheel due to the stair situation - many roads lead to Rome and also to a good design, you just have to be able to leave the one-way streets you took again, even if it hurts, because the path was pointless and laborious.
By the way, pencil and graph paper take less time :)
