Final stage floor plan: Is there still potential here?

We planned to simply extend the main roof if it works out. The 3D model will show that.
Also, the bay window is <1/3 of the house width and only 1m deep. That means we could place it outside the building envelope. A slight angle would loosen up the entrance area a bit from the outside since you have to pass half the house when coming from the street. The idea was also that you can open the door completely and still have access to the wardrobe. Because of the angle, there is also a bit more space to the first stair step.

I have to say many, many thanks to all of you again. Thanks to your suggestions, I believe we were able to make some really good improvements (e.g. more space on the upper floor, bright living room).

I just noticed, is the TV in front of the window? Or is that just a small music system?

This is currently still the TV, but a projector with a motorized screen has long been planned. I absolutely don't like the window behind the TV. We have that in our current apartment and it is moderately annoying. However, we didn't want to give up the south side. If necessary, the couch would stand on the side where the window is now during the initial period.

Yes, this wooden privacy screen would go away for me (only feels cramped) and the sofa swaps places with the TV.

This wall is an approximately 1m high stone wall, simply to make the seating area/couch a bit cozier and to somewhat separate it from the room.

I had already suspected as much. You might find them cuddly at first, but after 2 weeks they’re just annoying.
