Our dog (unfortunately already deceased) always claimed the entire space under the stairs. German Shepherd - stretched out long - loudly snoring and paddling his legs in his dream - there was no room left for anything else.

We also have a Schäfi, and his bed fits well underneath including the little cabinet on the side. He likes to sneak away when it gets too much for him. He probably ends up sleeping somewhere completely different than planned, in the most uncomfortable places.

Yes, something like that. A fixed window pane, e.g. frosted glass where the door used to be. That lets light into the hallway!
Kitchen door now... someone else will have to say which way the hinge goes. I would almost say the other way around.
Now draw yourself a nice kitchen. If you place the island opposite the door with a shelf or display cabinet at the front side, entering is really wonderful. I would even give the kitchen a terrace door.
How about deepening the wardrobe cabinet by another 60 cm (yes, it then extends into the kitchen as a recess) so you have enough space there for the season for 3 people...
In the kitchen there will then be a spot without a cabinet, but instead space for a pinboard and such.

I thought you didn’t want one? Okay, then door from the hallway. But you can still move the wall.

Are you Olivia Jones and Ulrike Meyfarth? By the way, your floor plan reminds me of this thread: – apart from the different "direction" of the carport, I have a déjà vu there.

No, we are simply just tall.

Indeed, there are similarities here.

Thank you all for your feedback and ideas. I really like the version with the door from the hallway to the open kitchen at the moment.
