The question is rather, who besides China will currently provide tens of billions in loans.

Why should Russia's national debt increase? On the contrary. Revenues will increase accordingly due to the enormously rising prices of gas and oil as well as other raw materials. It is not as if deliveries from Russia are being abandoned.

No, the USA continue to receive millions of liters of oil from Russia daily. And we also continue to receive oil and gas. This naturally directly finances the Russian economy. It burdens our national finances. High billions must be invested solely in the Bundeswehr. It is basically "bare."

What can be said is that there will be no further expansion of NATO. At least not towards Russia. The West has clearly gone too far here. Putin's attack will calm and stabilize the situation in the long term. There will also be no serious sanctions. If the West had a real interest, it would completely exclude the Russians economically, regardless of losses.

As confused as the remarks of sometimes are (as here), I believe/fear that there is a not insignificant kernel of truth underlying his statements. The years-long eastward expansion of the North Pacific Pact (Putin supposedly as a pacifist could not object), the expansion of missile defense shields, Ukraine being essentially on call in NATO's "waiting loop" on the one hand, while on the other hand keeping completely quiet about the Crimea annexation in 2014; again since last year the clear stance that Ukraine is militarily on its own in the event of a Russian invasion (apart from of course the 5,000 German helmets) and that a Russian invasion would be regrettable. But Putin did already show his pacifist tendencies with NATO eastward expansion. At least I do not consider the thesis "Putin feels cornered" entirely absurd.

After Ukraine does not meet the requirement for NATO membership, I do not understand why NATO members like Germany do not make a written statement about it. They would only have had to write that they decline the invitation because the requirements will not be met in the foreseeable future. No NATO country has allowed itself to do so. I wonder as someone clueless, why not? Russia has been amassing military forces for weeks. What happened yesterday could have already happened 4 weeks ago. What is it really about? Why is there fighting over Chernobyl?

On the other hand, I do not understand Russia. Ukraine is not capable of joining and is therefore actually neutral. Russia ensured in 2014 that NATO membership moved far into the distance. Why does no one stop that? If we are so economically dependent on Russia and Russia has its big brother China at its back, why doesn’t anyone start an economic war? I understand that the Russians were annoyed that they had to leave East Germany and the USA was allowed to stay. I can understand that Ukraine’s independence was a problem for Russia. But that was decades ago? Putin was just a small KGB light back then.

On the radio, I heard that Chernobyl is, on the one hand, the shortest route in the event of an invasion through Belarus. And nearby stands one of the largest active reactors, which supplies almost half of the country with electricity. And if Putin gains control over Ukraine, that is a massive signal to all regions within Russia and the former USSR that are thinking about democracy or autonomy. China will likely support this favorably just to gain control over Hong Kong and Taiwan.

That would imply that a) NATO does not want or did not want Ukraine in the alliance b) Ukraine does not want to join the alliance Neither was or is the case. NATO eastward expansion is a fact. The strategic geopolitical orientation of Ukraine towards NATO is a fact. See above. NATO admission is Ukraine’s declared geopolitical goal. That means, in drawer-thinking, "not neutral."
