Also, in our district area (also NRW), daycare centers have been completely free for several years. It’s about time that this is finally implemented nationwide.

With us, daycare including meals costs about €300; from the 3rd birthday, Hessen then covers 6 hours daily, so with daily meals you come to about €100. A sibling discount is only given here if one child is in kindergarten and one in daycare, so with twins you would apparently be out of luck.

Daycare fees, my hate subject In Düsseldorf free from age 3 (since last month with us). It helps with the double burden. In autumn we are moving (another municipality), into our new house, then we have to pay €590, plus meals for one child. Maximum rate.

Yes, we land here in the village with child 2 also at the highest rate, that will be expensive again. I also find it crazy how much discrepancy there is in the comparison across Germany? It can’t really be right that if you move a few kilometers further out, the monthly burden changes so much. I also think this should be regulated nationwide.

Nationwide is difficult as long as the same legal standards do not apply. But what do you mean by maximum rate? Is it salary-dependent with you or something like that?

Yes, with us there are different rates scaled according to gross income.
