You must have the perfect house and a lot, lot of time to write thousands of posts here.

A utility room with heating, trash, and cleaning supplies has no place in my entrance. There was a reason why it is usually stored in the basement, if available.
How often do you have craftsmen come by?

A side entrance door can also be installed on the east side and not visible from the driveway.

What is supposed to be terrible about a passage to the garden? Does your garden look that awful?

Just because I don’t follow your "advice," should I leave the forum? This is about advice, not you planning our house here, right? If it is, then I am indeed in the wrong.

I would really be interested in your house plan.

Hi

You are certainly not forced to follow advice here, but before creating a floor plan and deciding on the utility room, first think about the layout and use/ usability of the property. Using the garage in the place where there is an area usable as a terrace in the evening sun for a garage, which can also easily be moved to the north, is really... I’m at a loss for the right words.

Just take it as experience.
You resist every suggestion for improvement.
By the way, regarding airflow in the outdoor area, I wrote about negative experiences concerning drafts. If you don't like answers, don't ask questions.

The utility room does have a door and is always closed; it does not stand out negatively in the entrance area. What is actually negative is when someone carries their dirty, wet shoes through the living room and kitchen to clean them in the utility room or wants to hang their wet jacket there after a walk and always has to walk through the house with it. If you have children and/or a dog, then you constantly have dirty and wet shoes. I stand daily at the utility room sink to clean my “dog shoes,” hang dog towels (which I need at the entrance area for the paws), and take cleaning supplies (mops, dustpans, etc.) in and out.
You are spending a considerable amount for this utility room bay window. Such a bay window is nice (we have one, too), but you only have a single window in the bay (no all-around glazing), and that does not look so good, especially since you will surely make that window completely opaque because the view into a utility room is not very nice, and that does not look good as a front view of a house.

Best regards
Sabine

And why not put the bay window on the other side and put the kitchen/living room or whatever with lots of glass there? That would leave more space for the stairs, utility room, and possibly a separate pantry.

You get the feeling that you are ignoring all the hints, so why bother going into details anymore?

To summarize it: Your house will be a gloomy, dark cave where a draft will make your ears flap even before you enter. Then you run with the shopping bags across the living room, circle the stairs, past the dining table through the kitchen, and then end up completely exhausted in the pantry. That happens 2 or 3 times – after all, you shop for the family – yeah!

After the housewife/househusband is completely worn out from shopping, she/he now has to do the laundry. Which way does she/he run? Oh yes! Upstairs, downstairs, back through the chill-out corner, past the dining table through the kitchen, past the supplies to the very last corner of the house. And not just occasionally. That becomes a permanent run through the house. Whoever wanted peace in the chill-out corner – forget it!

You could still find all this running around sporty, but you’ll soon be depressed to death, because the darkness is the biggest problem. Where the sun is actually supposed to lighten the mood, you build a complete wall on that side. Well, as long as the cars are fine!

A car can also drive around the corner. Take the advice from in #45 and put the garage in the northeast. You could even place it completely in the corner, if you do not exceed a total of 15m edge development. The missing meters in the garden are completely unfounded:

As you can see, your plan takes up exactly as much space from the garden as if you simply adjust the shape of the house. For that, however, the forum has sunshine in the living room and enjoys the light.

Even if the words are harsh and tempers flare quickly (simply because it’s about a lot of money and decisions that can no longer be undone) – we are on your side here.
