Yes, that's why we asked about it afterwards. But the GÜ refuses to install windows above 225m height, and some here in the 'Forum as well as the architect and by now also us no longer find that so nice. So the room height is visually lost because the window lintel then hangs down so far.

Half a brick course sounds reasonable (economically, work-wise).

He wants to have you in a headlock so that his pharmacy price becomes non-negotiable.

Monolithically pure harassment. Can you still change the horse?
At least he wouldn’t get any more recommendations from me then.

Either that or he needs money, the next installment invoice would be due after submission of the building application. Admittedly, I made them wait a bit long for the first payment. Maybe that caused some sensitivities. On the other hand, I always advance payments up to the shell construction... Well, the consumer contract is signed, so if I cancel now (which probably isn’t an important reason in the eyes of the legislator yet), he can pocket 5% without having done anything... I would also find that an overreaction now. He also said we should clarify this personally in the execution planning meeting, possibly even with the window manufacturer. So maybe there’s still some possibility. The only question is, are the window heights relevant for the building application, or if the building permit is based on documents with 2.25 m window height, can I still go to 2.32 m or vice versa? Does anyone know? I also don’t know what’s going on with the general contractor right now, otherwise they have always been very flexible and accommodating. Best regards Tolentino

Oh, so what that has to do with the roller shutters: If he stays firm about the roller shutters and absolutely refuses to be talked into it, then I would consider taking the windows completely out of the contract and hiring someone else (old company from Schwieva). But then I can also go for 2.32 m high windows, or even lift-and-slide doors, etc. Because I can get them cheaper through Schwieva. I had only avoided that so far because of warranty (connection tightness, etc). But for almost 16,000 EUR just for roller shutters?

Can you provide me with arguments for that? Because he explicitly called it too complex to be constructive, or that when retrofitting with roller shutters, it is always prone to errors and it is better to do it all at once...
It's really strange. On the one hand, he probably wants to include the roller shutters, on the other hand, he makes such a defensive offer.

Building application) Changing the room height would be difficult due to room volume and staircase calculation; changing the window height is possible as a design change without problem. Lift-and-slide) I don't see that with width 201, only from 251 upwards. Installation level) I see no monolithic reason not to place the windows exactly where they would be correct for the roller shutter. With ETICS and even more so with ETICS and facing bricks, this would be far less flexible as desired. Defensive price) He probably didn't think this through: I also see the room to grow, to push back on him regarding the windows and buy them elsewhere.
