Here is also a small update. A few weeks ago we had a conversation with my father-in-law and the site manager. All questions were clarified. Shell construction dimensions from approved execution plans were guaranteed (within usual tolerances). Windows are now being ordered. I then fixed some sashes again, as they are partly behind the sofa anyway and not necessarily critical with the ventilation system. Saves almost 200 EUR per window. Below, [Raffstore], above partly roller shutters partly [Raffstore] with [CDL] slats (closes tightly) to better regulate shading. All RC2 instead of RC0. Approximately the same price as the credit from the general contractor. So clearly more content for the money and a bit of own work effort (I will act as a laborer for my father-in-law).

And according to father-in-law's experience, is it okay to order like this, not only after measurement?

Yes, he says, he has always done it that way. Otherwise, we lose too much time because the delivery time is currently 8 weeks. Of course, it also depends on the shell builder. But if the site manager is so confident about guaranteeing the dimensions, it will probably work out. I probably can't annoy him with special requests to the point that he backs out. ;) Oh, I also forgot that I now have the 2.33-meter-high windows, which the subcontractor from the main contractor didn't want to do at all.

I just want to say that even after the survey, one window was slightly too large, which is why it cracked and had to be replaced.

But was it because of the window or the rough opening? The windows were ordered with 15mm clearance left/right/top, I trust my father-in-law on that, he knows what he's doing.

Well, measurements were taken during the shell construction, the windows were manufactured, delivered, installed, and one was cracked and one warped after installation, as I just remembered. So two had to be replaced.
