I could imagine possibly increasing the number of rooms and windows only on the ground floor.

Yes, I believe that's how it is in the current draft. So 2.7m ceiling height on the ground floor and 2.56m ceiling height on the upper floor, if I read the section correctly... The extra cost for windows has been requested. The architect kindly framed it to say that it would look nicer and asked if 2.32m would also be possible (so not really asking about an extra cost, but asking for permission).

As written in the , the GÜ completely rejects the taller windows. The reason is that the supplier does not go higher than 2.25 because otherwise it would become too unstable... I am now considering leaving out the room extension on the ground floor entirely...

No big deal, but

that is nonsense. 201 symmetrically divided is unproblematic. Our manufacturers first said no over 240 or charged extra. Element height, mind you, so plus the panel at the bottom for the floor structure.

Well, some are only 1.63 wide. Although that doesn't necessarily make it less stable, does it? Well, I think he has no interest in that. Maybe he's reading along here?

My partner and I have seen several houses with a clear ceiling height of 2.50m in model homes and were always surprised (well, not anymore after the third time) when we were told this. So I now think that would be acceptable for us, especially if the ratio of the window height to the room height also fits better...

I have just measured for the first time in my apartment, the clear finished dimension of the room height is 251 cm, and the lintel height is 212 cm.
