that's simply not true... We had aluminum roller shutters for 4 doors and 1 wide window at an additional cost of 400€ (net) compared to plastic. In total.
You have already written to me....
I can only repeat what my window installer told me. But maybe you already paid more for the plastic roller shutters as standard and are now thrilled about your 400€ extra cost.
So let's do the math. I pay 25€ net per sqm for plastic roller shutters including material and installation.
We have venetian blinds with Z-lamellae everywhere.... apart from the fact that the Z-lamellae are significantly more stable than regular lamellae, we would never choose anything else again. With full sunlight from the south and west, the rooms remain pleasantly tempered and it is anything but dark in the children's rooms or throughout the whole house.....
How many summers have you experienced in your house? Apart from that, you are still right.
I know that I have already written that... just didn’t remember that you were also the "counterpart" there.
Unfortunately, I can’t break it down for myself, I have the total amount for windows including roller shutters and insect screens per position for every "hole in the wall".
How about the cleaning? I imagine it to be a bit more tedious with [Raffstore] because of the slat shape than with the "smoother" roller shutters. What are your experiences?
In the end, it's a relatively simple decision. The budget decides. If there is enough money: in living rooms [Raffstores], pure bedrooms on the north or east side [Rollladen], south and west rooms are a matter of taste.
With [Rollläden], it should also be noted that from about 2.50-3.00m aluminum instead of plastic is needed, especially with dark colors.
